Cards of Wonderment Music

“It began on a Monday night at a free roll poker game—pure chance, or maybe a fateful shuffle. I happened to sit next to a young composer-in-disguise. He said, “music student.” I said, “currently working on a legacy art deck spanning my entire life.” I told him I was transforming decades of artwork, from age 4 to now, into a reimagined playing card deck. Each card features four evocative words, designed for meditation, reflection, and storytelling. Oh, and I had a wild dream of hiring someone to compose 54 original, 30-second classical compositions for each card. His eyes lit up. He shared his Spotify; I devoured it that night. The next morning: “When can we meet?” Cut to the following day—chocolate and coffee in hand—we completely clicked, conceptually and creatively. Jacob was all in, ready to compose and record live original pieces that matched the mood and magic of every card, from whimsical dragons to soulful abstracts, landscapes, people, and animals. This deck? It’s now a one-woman art show in a box along with its very own custom soundtrack. Just tap the little music arrow on the homepage to hear Jacob’s music. Or, when you’re exploring the full-size cards, keep an eye out, there’s a music arrow above every single one. Click it, and let the original soundtrack unfold. ”
